Scientists probe hormone link to Kids' fever seizures

NCT ID NCT07463222

Summary

This study aims to understand how the body's stress hormones respond during febrile seizures in young children. Researchers will measure hormone levels in 120 children aged 6 months to 5 years—some who have had a seizure with a fever and some with just a fever. By comparing these groups, they hope to learn if hormone changes are linked to how long seizures last or how severe a child's illness becomes.
