Summary

This study is observing 7,200 people with fever in rural areas of Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Bangladesh to find out what causes their illness and how they recover. Researchers will test for various germs and look at body markers to better understand fevers. The goal is to improve diagnosis and treatment in these regions, but no new treatments are being tested.
