Quick Finger-Prick test aims to spot bacterial infections in sick kids

Summary
This study is testing a new, rapid fingerstick blood test called FebriDx to see if it can accurately tell whether a child's fever and respiratory symptoms are caused by a bacterial infection or a virus. The goal is to help doctors quickly decide if antibiotics are needed. The study will enroll 800 children, aged 2 to 11, who come to a clinic or emergency room with a fever and symptoms like a cough or sore throat.
