Summary

This study tested an investigational injection called fazirsiran in 40 people with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD), a genetic condition that can cause liver disease. The main goal was to see if the drug was safe and if it could reduce the levels of a harmful protein that builds up in the liver. Some participants received the drug, while others received a placebo, and researchers measured protein levels in the blood and liver over time.
