Fatty acid pills could speed up bone healing after leg fracture surgery

Summary

This study tests whether taking a cetylated fatty acid supplement for 12 weeks can improve healing of broken thigh or shin bones after surgery. About 100 adults will receive either the supplement or a placebo. Researchers will use X-rays and pain questionnaires to see if the supplement helps bones heal better and faster.
