Squat science: new test may reveal hidden fatigue in Gym-Goers
NCT ID NCT07307963
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring how fast you can lift a weight (load-velocity relationship) can show how tired your leg muscles are after doing multiple sets of squats. Twenty-eight healthy men who regularly lift weights did different squat routines, and researchers checked their lifting speed and strength before and after. The goal was to see if these simple measurements could be a practical way for athletes and trainers to monitor fatigue and adjust workouts.
