Squat science: new way to gauge muscle fatigue discovered!
NCT ID NCT07307963
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring how fast you can lift a weight (velocity) and how much weight you can handle (load) can show how tired your muscles get from doing squats. Twenty-eight men who regularly lift weights did different squat routines, and their speed and load were checked before and after. The goal was to see if these simple measurements could be a practical tool for athletes and trainers to monitor fatigue.
