Scientists trace Fat's path in rare disease
NCT ID NCT04227678
Summary
This study aims to understand how people with a rare genetic disorder called lipoprotein lipase deficiency (LPLD) process and store dietary fats. Researchers will compare 8 people with LPLD to 8 healthy volunteers using advanced imaging and blood tests after a meal. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how the body uses fats in this condition to help guide the development of future treatments.
