New wire device aims to unclog leg arteries without surgery

Summary
This study tests a new tool called the FastWire System that helps doctors safely cross completely blocked arteries in the leg. The goal is to restore blood flow and avoid serious problems like amputation. About 65 people with severe leg pain or non-healing wounds will take part. The device is used during a standard procedure to guide other treatment tools through the blockage.
