Study tests fasting to fight cancer drug pain
NCT ID NCT06172088
Summary
This study explored whether a 7-day supervised fast could help reduce joint pain and improve quality of life for breast cancer patients taking aromatase inhibitors. Fifty-four patients participated, completing a week of very low-calorie fasting followed by dietary changes. Researchers measured pain levels, fatigue, sleep, and overall well-being to see if fasting provided relief from common medication side effects.
