Folic acid may soothe painful mouth sores in kidney cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether folic acid supplements can reduce painful mouth, nose, throat, and genital sores caused by targeted therapy in people with advanced kidney cancer. About 100 participants will receive either folic acid or a placebo to see if it helps control these side effects. The goal is to improve comfort during cancer treatment.
