Tiny holes in jawbone could make braces work faster

NCT ID NCT07169968

Summary

This study is testing whether making very small perforations in the jawbone (micro-osteoperforations) can make clear aligner treatment for crowded lower front teeth work faster and more predictably. Researchers are comparing treatment with and without these perforations in 20 adult patients. The main goal is to see if this technique reduces the total number of aligners needed and shortens overall treatment time.
