Tiny holes in jawbone could cut braces time in half

NCT ID NCT05492773

Summary

This study is testing whether making very small perforations in the jawbone can help teeth move faster during clear aligner (Invisalign-like) treatment for crowded lower teeth. Researchers will compare treatment time, pain levels, and patient satisfaction between people who receive the micro-drilling procedure plus aligners and those who receive aligners alone. The goal is to see if this minor procedure can shorten overall treatment time while remaining acceptable to patients.
