New sedation combo aims to get patients home quicker after lung test

NCT ID NCT05643066

Summary

This study tested if adding a low dose of a drug called esketamine to the standard sedative (propofol) helps people recover faster after a lung scope procedure. Researchers compared recovery time and discharge readiness in 246 patients. The goal was to see if the combination was as good as or better than propofol alone for getting patients ready to go home safely.
