Summary
This study aims to develop a faster, more accurate blood test to determine if tissue death in severe pancreatitis has become infected. Researchers will test 200 patients across four hospitals using a combination of two advanced blood analysis techniques. If successful, this test could help doctors prescribe the right antibiotics sooner and avoid unnecessary medication.
