New study aims to slash wait times for serious lung disease diagnosis

NCT ID NCT07482917

Summary

This study is testing whether a more organized and faster diagnostic process can reduce the time it takes for patients to get a clear diagnosis for suspected interstitial lung disease (ILD). It will compare the current standard, often fragmented process to a new, coordinated approach that bundles key tests together. The goal is to see if this streamlined pathway leads to a quicker diagnosis, less burden on patients and families, and more equitable care.
