New dental dressings aim to speed healing, reduce pain after gum surgery

NCT ID NCT07367165

Summary

This study tested two special materials to see if they could help the roof of the mouth heal better after a piece of tissue was taken for gum graft surgery. Thirty-eight healthy adults were split into three groups: one received a concentrated growth factor from their own blood, another got a collagen dressing, and a third received standard care. Researchers measured healing speed, tissue thickness, pain levels, and patient comfort to see which material worked best.
