Overnight DNA test could speed cancer care for kids

NCT ID NCT07201038

Summary

This study is testing whether a new overnight DNA sequencing method can provide faster results for children with cancer. Currently, getting detailed genetic information about a child's cancer can take weeks, which can delay starting the most appropriate treatment. Researchers want to see if this faster test can reliably identify high-risk genetic features within a day, helping doctors make quicker treatment decisions for about 50 children and young adults under 25 with suspected or confirmed cancer.
