Summary
This study aims to see if a new, faster lab test can better identify the specific germs causing meningitis or encephalitis (infections of the brain and spinal cord). Researchers will compare patients who get the new test to past patients who did not, checking if it leads to quicker, more accurate treatment, shorter hospital stays, and lower costs. The goal is to help doctors choose the right medications faster and avoid unnecessary ones.
