Your own blood could speed up your braces

NCT ID NCT06302296

Summary

This study is testing if an injection made from a patient's own blood, called injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF), can make teeth move faster during the initial alignment stage of braces treatment. Researchers want to see if this can reduce the overall time people need to wear braces. The study is small, enrolling 14 young adults with specific types of crooked teeth who are starting comprehensive orthodontic care.
