Summary
This study is testing a new, faster lab test for serious bloodstream infections. It aims to see if getting results in about an hour, instead of days, helps doctors prescribe the most effective antibiotic sooner. Researchers will compare outcomes for 300 hospitalized patients, with half getting the new rapid test and half getting standard testing.
