This study tested giving a large dose of IV iron (ferumoxytol) in just 15 minutes to people with iron deficiency anemia who couldn't take or didn't respond to oral iron. Researchers wanted to see if this fast infusion was safe and effective. They measured hemoglobin levels at 4 and 8 weeks and checked for side effects.
