New nasal spray aims to calm public speaking jitters in social anxiety

Summary

This study tests a nasal spray called fasedienol (PH94B) for quickly reducing anxiety during a public speaking task in adults aged 18-65 with social anxiety disorder. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the spray or a placebo, and those who complete the initial phase can join an open-label extension using the spray as needed for up to 12 months. The goal is to see if the spray is safe and effective for acute symptom relief.
