Breathing and fascia exercises tested as new headache relief
NCT ID NCT07518108
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether adding special fascia exercises or breathing exercises to standard neck care can help people with cervicogenic headache, a headache that starts from neck problems. 72 adults aged 18-60 will be split into three groups: standard care alone, standard care plus fascia exercises, or standard care plus breathing exercises. The goal is to see if these extra exercises reduce headache impact and frequency over 12 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
exercise program (fascia exercises or breathing exercises)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer simple, drug-free exercise options to reduce headache pain and disability for people with cervicogenic headache.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 72 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercises may not provide more relief than standard care.
