NCT ID NCT02770196
First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving low-income families access to discounted fresh produce from local farms, along with nutrition education, could help children eat better and maintain a healthy weight. About 305 families with kids aged 2 to 12 took part. Researchers measured changes in fruit and vegetable intake, sugary snacks, and overall diet quality to see if this approach could prevent childhood obesity.
