New eye injection trial aims to halt vision loss in severely nearsighted patients

Summary

This Phase 3 clinical trial is testing whether faricimab eye injections can safely control abnormal blood vessel growth that causes vision loss in people with severe nearsightedness. The study will compare faricimab to the standard treatment, ranibizumab, in 280 participants who haven't received previous treatment for this condition. Researchers will measure changes in vision clarity and monitor side effects over time.
