New eye injection strategy aims to halt rapid vision loss

NCT ID NCT07187804

Summary

This study is testing if a medication called faricimab, given as eye injections, can better control a severe and fast-progressing type of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Researchers want to see if using a specific, careful treatment schedule can preserve vision and prevent further damage in 30 patients. The goal is to find a more effective long-term management strategy for this condition, which carries a high risk of profound vision loss.
