Fewer eye jabs for vision loss? study tests simpler injection schedule

NCT ID NCT06742307

Summary

This study is testing if a simpler, fixed schedule of faricimab eye injections given every 3-4 months can successfully maintain vision in people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) after initial treatment. It aims to see if this less frequent schedule works as well as more intensive ones, which could reduce the burden of frequent clinic visits and injections. The study will follow 40 participants for one year to monitor their vision and eye health.
