New eye injection aims to save sight from rare, bleeding eye disease

Summary
This study is testing a medication called faricimab, given as an injection into the eye, to see if it can help control a rare eye disease called polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). PCV can cause bleeding and fluid buildup in the back of the eye, leading to vision loss. The trial will enroll 120 Caucasian patients to see if faricimab can improve vision and reduce the need for frequent injections compared to current treatments.
