Summary

This study looks at whether playing recordings of family members' voices can help reduce pain and increase feel-good brain chemicals (dopamine and serotonin) in intensive care patients. Researchers will enroll 78 adults in the ICU who are in a coma or sedated. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost, non-drug approach can improve patient comfort and reduce the need for pain medications.
