Can talking as a family rewire the brain in autism?

NCT ID NCT07246395

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific type of family counseling, called Narrative Family Therapy, can improve communication and overall family well-being when a child has autism. Researchers will compare this therapy to a different family activity based on games and puzzles. They will measure changes using family questionnaires, brain scans, and sensors that track physical responses during therapy sessions to see if the counseling leads to positive changes in how the family functions and how the brain processes social information.
