Can coaching parents build healthier families? large trial aims to find out

NCT ID NCT03367845

First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether family coaching programs can improve how parents interact with their babies and with each other. About 1,000 families with healthy infants are randomly assigned to receive either a sensitivity-focused coaching program (using video feedback) or basic phone check-ins. Researchers measure changes in parenting sensitivity, stress, confidence, and infant attachment to see if the coaching leads to stronger family bonds and healthier child development.
