Parent power: can Mom's touch help babies breathe easier?

NCT ID NCT07183553

Summary

This study tested whether actively involving parents in the hospital care of their infants could improve the babies' recovery. It involved 60 infants (aged 1 month to 2 years) who were hospitalized with a serious lung infection and needed special oxygen therapy. Researchers compared standard hospital care to a special program that trained and supported mothers to be more involved in their baby's daily care, to see if it helped stabilize the baby's vital signs and reduce time in the hospital.
