Summary
This study offered free genetic testing to family members of children found to have a genetic marker for familial hyperlipidemia (FH), a condition that causes very high cholesterol. The goal was to see if large-scale screening can identify at-risk relatives early and help prevent heart disease. Eleven family members participated, and researchers measured how many carried the FH gene.
