Summary
This study offered free genetic testing to immediate family members of children found to have a genetic marker for familial hyperlipidemia (FH), a condition that causes very high cholesterol and early heart disease. The goal was to see if large-scale testing can identify at-risk relatives early and improve their care. Eleven family members participated, and the study focused on understanding the impact of such screening.
