Survey aims to keep seniors out of hospital after falls
NCT ID NCT07111871
Summary
This study aims to understand how healthcare services currently care for older adults on blood-thinning medications who have a fall and may have hit their head, even if they show no symptoms. Researchers are surveying healthcare workers in one UK region to map out the current care pathways and identify challenges. The goal is to find ways to provide better care, like falls assessments and medication reviews, outside of the hospital to reduce unnecessary emergency visits and admissions.
