Simple test may predict fall risk in nursing home residents
NCT ID NCT07631975
First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether a test that combines walking with a simple mental task (like naming animals) can help predict fall risk in older adults living in nursing homes. Researchers will measure how much performance drops when doing both tasks at once and see if that drop can identify who is at higher risk of falling. The goal is to develop a low-cost, practical screening tool for clinical use.
