Education program aims to reduce falls in chronic stroke patients

Summary
This study tested a fall prevention education program for people who had a stroke more than six months ago. The program was based on the Health Belief Model and included two in-person sessions over six weeks. Researchers compared the program to usual care in 44 participants to see if it improved health literacy, physical function, and reduced fear of falling and fall risk.
