First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to fairy tales, hearing stories in their mother's voice, or watching cartoons can reduce pain and improve comfort in children aged 1-7 who need tracheostomy care in a palliative care unit. Researchers will measure pain, comfort, and vital signs during the procedure. The goal is to find simple, non-drug ways to make this experience less distressing for seriously ill children.
