Mom's voice vs. cartoons: a new way to soothe kids in pain

NCT ID NCT07210346

Summary

This study aims to see if listening to fairy tales (including in their mother's voice) or watching cartoons can help reduce pain and increase comfort for young children during tracheostomy care in a palliative care setting. Seventeen children aged 1-7 will be assigned to different groups to try each method. Researchers will measure the children's pain, comfort, and vital signs like heart rate before, during, and after the care procedure.
