Facial 'Filler' tested to fix 'Ozempic Face'

NCT ID NCT07478198

Summary

This study is testing whether injections of a material called Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) can safely improve facial sagging and wrinkles that sometimes appear after people lose a lot of weight using medications like Ozempic or Wegovy. The PLLA injections aim to stimulate the skin's own collagen to restore volume and tighten loose skin. Researchers will enroll about 22 adults who have experienced significant weight loss from these drugs and have noticeable facial changes.
