Could a 12-Week facial workout smooth away Crow's feet?
NCT ID NCT07792460
First seen Aug 28, 2026 · Last updated Aug 28, 2026
Summary
Researchers are testing whether a 12-week program of facial muscle exercises and daily habit changes can improve skin quality and reduce wrinkle severity in women aged 45 to 50. Participants are randomly assigned to either the structured program or their usual routine. The study measures changes in crow's feet wrinkle depth using a 3D imaging device at the start and after 12 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- A 12-week program combining facial muscle exercises and daily habit modification related to skin health
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a drug-free way to improve skin quality and reduce wrinkles in middle-aged women.
- What could go wrong
- The trial is small and early, and results depend on participants sticking to the program. Facial exercises may not produce noticeable changes for everyone.
