Facebook group aims to boost skin checks in young melanoma families

Summary
This study looks at whether a private Facebook group can encourage young adults (ages 18-39) diagnosed with early-stage melanoma and their close family members to perform more skin exams and use better sun protection. About 1,160 participants will join either a melanoma-focused or a general healthy lifestyle Facebook group. The goal is to see if social support online can improve skin cancer detection habits.
