Tiny screws vs. traditional braces: which face mask works better for Kids' jaws?

NCT ID NCT07279662

Summary

This study compared two ways to use a face mask to help guide the growth of the upper jaw forward in children aged 7-13 who have an underdeveloped upper jaw. All children first had a special procedure to loosen the jaw joints, then wore a face mask attached either to tiny screws in the cheekbone or to a traditional dental appliance. The goal was to see which method moved the jaw forward more effectively with fewer side effects on the teeth.
