Can a slimmer dental implant handle immediate chewing pressure?

NCT ID NCT03917927

First seen Aug 12, 2026 · Last updated Aug 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study follows adults who receive a narrow Eztetic dental implant in the front part of the upper or lower jaw, with a temporary tooth attached right after surgery. The goal is to see how many implants survive and how the surrounding bone holds up over two years. Researchers will also check bone level changes around the implant compared to the time of placement.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Eztetic dental implant system (narrow diameter dental implant)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could support the use of narrow dental implants for immediate loading in the front of the mouth, potentially shortening treatment time for people with missing teeth.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a randomized trial, so results may not prove the implant is better than other options. Implant failure or bone loss around the implant are possible risks.
