First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested a steroid injection into the eyelid to treat upper eyelid retraction caused by thyroid eye disease. Fifteen adults with inactive disease received the injection, and doctors measured changes in eyelid position and eye pressure one month later. The goal was to see if this simple procedure could improve eyelid position and reduce discomfort without surgery.
