Could a simple eye test spot childhood epilepsy?

NCT ID NCT06310772

Summary

This study tested a new system that tracks eye movements to help identify children with a specific type of epilepsy called childhood absence epilepsy (CAE). Researchers compared the eye-tracking system to standard, more time-consuming tests to see if it could accurately spot children who have ongoing seizures or related attention and thinking problems. The goal is to find these issues earlier so children can get help sooner.
