Could missing tiny hairs reveal eye cancer?
NCT ID NCT03382704
Summary
This study aimed to see if the loss of fine, barely visible hairs on the skin could help doctors tell if a lump near the eye is skin cancer before doing a biopsy. Researchers planned to observe patients already scheduled for a biopsy of an eyelid lump, checking for hair loss during their normal exam. The goal was to gather better evidence to help future patients get more accurate diagnoses.
