New eye scanner tested against old standards

NCT ID NCT03279939

Summary

This study tested a new type of eye scanner to see if it could take clear pictures of blood vessels in the back of the eye. Researchers compared the new scanner's images to those from older, standard tests. The goal was to see if the new device could reliably find signs of common eye diseases like diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
