First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving fluids before sedation and moving the endoscope into the small intestine changes eye pressure during an upper GI endoscopy. Forty adults having a diagnostic procedure had their eye pressure measured at four points. The goal was to understand if these routine steps are safe for the eyes, especially in people at risk for high eye pressure.
