Searching for a hidden clue to unexplained eye pain
NCT ID NCT05653921
Summary
This study aims to validate a new, non-invasive imaging method to help doctors diagnose neuropathic corneal pain (NCP), a severe type of eye pain that often gets mistaken for regular dry eye. Researchers will use a special microscope to look for tiny nerve abnormalities in the eyes of people with NCP, dry eye, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to create a reliable test to correctly identify patients with this painful condition so they can get proper treatment.
